Privacy Policy & Terms of Service

Effective date: March 25, 2026

Overview

Tidysql is a free, browser-based utility tool operated by Infinite Orchard. This page contains our privacy policy and terms of service. By using Tidysql, you agree to the terms described below.

How Tidysql Works

Tidysql performs all SQL formatting entirely within your web browser. No SQL queries or data are uploaded to any server.

We do not transmit, store, cache, or log any content you provide to the tool. When the tool produces an output, that output is generated in your browser's memory. No copies are created on any remote system.

Consent

When you first visit Tidysql, you are presented with a consent prompt. This prompt allows you to accept or decline non-essential services before they are activated. No analytics scripts, advertising scripts, or third-party cookies are loaded until you make a choice.

You can change your consent preferences at any time by clicking the consent settings link in the site footer.

If you decline all non-essential services, Tidysql will function normally without analytics or advertisements.

Analytics

If you consent to analytics, Tidysql uses PostHog to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data. This includes information such as page views, session duration, and general browser and device type.

PostHog does not collect personally identifiable information. No names, email addresses, or IP addresses are stored in our analytics. Analytics data is used solely to understand how the tool is used and to improve the experience.

If you do not consent to analytics, PostHog is not loaded and no usage data is collected.

Advertising

Tidysql is a free tool supported by advertising. We work with one or more third-party advertising networks to display ads on this site. The specific networks in use may change over time as we evaluate the best fit for our tools and our users.

If you consent to advertising:

Advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve relevant ads and to measure ad performance. The data practices of each advertising partner are governed by their own privacy policies, not by this policy. We select advertising partners that maintain responsible data practices, and where available, we prioritize privacy-conscious and contextual advertising networks that minimize or eliminate user tracking.

If you do not consent to advertising:

Advertising scripts are not loaded and no ad-related cookies are set.

Regardless of your consent choice:

Ad placements on this site are clearly separated from the tool interface. Ads are never placed on or adjacent to interactive controls, and we do not use deceptive ad formats such as pop-ups, interstitials, auto-playing video, or fake interface elements.

Cookies

Tidysql itself does not set any first-party cookies for tracking purposes. The only first-party data stored locally is your consent preference.

Third-party cookies may be set by analytics or advertising services, but only after you have given consent for those specific categories. Some of our advertising partners operate without cookies entirely, relying on contextual targeting instead.

Data We Do Not Collect

To be explicit, Tidysql does not collect, store, or have access to:

  • Your files, inputs, or tool outputs
  • Your name, email address, or any contact information
  • Your IP address
  • Your precise geographic location
  • Any information that could identify you personally

Children's Privacy

Tidysql is a general-purpose utility tool not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through our analytics or advertising partners, please contact us and we will take steps to address it.

Changes to This Page

We may update this privacy policy or terms of service to reflect changes in our practices, advertising partners, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Tidysql after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
