Cogsly is a free, browser-based COGS calculator operated by Infinite Orchard. This page explains what data we collect, what we do not collect, and how third-party services on this site handle information.

How Cogsly Works

Cogsly performs all calculations entirely within your web browser. No inventory figures, revenue numbers, or financial data are uploaded to any server. Your data stays on your device at all times.

We do not transmit, store, cache, or log any content you provide to the tool. When the tool produces an output, that output is generated in your browser's memory. No copies are created on any remote system.

Consent

When you first visit Cogsly, you are presented with a consent prompt. This prompt lets you accept or decline non-essential services before they activate. No analytics scripts, advertising scripts, or third-party cookies load until you make a choice.

You can change your consent preferences at any time from the site footer. If you decline all non-essential services, Cogsly will work normally without analytics or advertisements.

Analytics

If you consent to analytics, Cogsly uses PostHog to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data such as page views, session duration, and general browser and device type.

PostHog does not collect personally identifiable information. No names, email addresses, or IP addresses are stored in our analytics. If you do not consent, PostHog is not loaded and no usage data is collected.

Advertising

Cogsly is a free tool supported by advertising. We work with one or more third-party advertising networks to display ads on this site. The specific networks in use may change over time.

If you consent to advertising: Advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve relevant ads and to measure ad performance. We select partners that maintain responsible data practices and prioritize privacy-conscious, contextual advertising where available.

If you do not consent to advertising: Advertising scripts are not loaded and no ad-related cookies are set.

Ad placements on this site are clearly separated from the tool interface. Ads are never placed on or adjacent to interactive controls.
